NASA Next Moon Mission Gets 2021 Launch Date

NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) will be the most powerful rocket ever built. When completed, SLS will enable astronauts to begin their journey to explore destinations far into the solar system.

Space Launch System and the Artemis Program have been plagued by manufacturing and financial set backs for years. Before they get to the outer reaches of our solar system, NASA must complete a series of milestones to test the SLS Rocket.

On September 3rd 2020 NASA released their SMSR INTEGRATED MASTER SCHEDULE. A rundown of upcoming missions and launches.

In this document NASA states that Artemis 1 will launch no earlier than 7/9/2021.

With the Artemis program, NASA will land the first woman and next man on the Moon by 2024, using innovative technologies to explore more of the lunar surface than ever before. We will collaborate with our commercial and international partners and establish sustainable exploration by 2028.
